ENCOURAGEMENT AND ADMONITION TO TEACHERS
Scriptures to Consider:
“It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining the full measure of perfection found in Christ.” - Ephesians 4:11-13
“Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things; for as you do this you will insure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.” – 1 Timothy 4:16
Words of Wisdom
People rarely succeed at anything unless they have fun doing it.
You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.
Everything requires time. It is the one truly universal condition. All work takes place in time and uses up time, yet most people take for granted this unique, irreplaceable and necessary resource. Nothing else, perhaps, distinguishes effective teachers as much as their tender loving care of time.
Motivation for teaching
Are we willing to put in the amount of time it takes to properly prepare a lesson?
Are we relieved when each class period is over that we “got through another one!”
Do we expect to teach so that we can really influence these little souls for Christ?
Do we try to make the Bible stories come alive? Do we relate the stories to their own lives?
Do we expect ourselves to make each lesson a fun and learning experience for our pupils?
